Bruno Brolli Ceramiche D’Arte - this small workshop is located in the
coastal city of Rimini in the Emilia-Romagna region. Signor Brolli specializes in the Blue Carnation (Faenza) pattern
which was inspired by the XVIII century Japanese Imari style and first
developed in Lombardia.
Maioliche CAMA -
The CAMA workshop is in Deruta, a small hill town in the beautiful region of
Umbria, where the ceramic tradition dates to the 13th century. Today Renato and
Elena Niccacci carry on the family tradition, directing one of the few
workshops in Deruta where the production is accomplished in one studio under
the personal supervision of the artistic directors.
Ceramiche Artistiche Gialletti Giulio - founded in 1959 specializes in the classical
Deruta style. Their skilled artisans
are committed to spreading the "Derutese tradition" in the creation
of artistic maiolica of the renaissance
period, continually introducing new shapes and patterns.
Fratelli MARI Maioliche - began operations in 1932 following a
centuries-old tradition. It’s name
comes from a family which has among it’s ancestors one Giuseppe da Diruta,
master potter, who in the 1700’s had a kiln near the town gate. The company, located in Deruta, produces
both decorative pieces and functional items for the home.
Ceramiche Biagioli “La Mastro Giorgio” - this company is among the most ancient in
Umbria although it’s ownership has had various interruptions and changes during
it’s 300 year history. The company is
now owned by the Biagioli family under the direction of Professor Valentino
Biagioli. They are located in Gubbio
one of the best preserved medieval hill towns in Italy.
Ceramiche Bertini - located in Tuscany near
Florence, Marco and Vasco Bertini specialize in recreating classical Florentine
designs.They are masters in
duplicating old glazes and colors.
Bertini ceramics are unique in their character and finish.
